Painless Treatment For Cellulite

cellulite treatment

Can you believe that 90% of women have cellulite? In fact, cellulite is so common in women that medical science assumed it was a natural process in women. Because of this they failed to do research or work on treatments for cellulite.

However, the demand from women for new developments in cellulite quickly prompted the many cellulite treatments available today. Many treatments are painless and don't require surgery while more advanced ones do. If you're like me, you consider painless treatments for cellulite first. Below is a brief list along with information of painless cellulite treatments.

1. Acoustic Wave Therapy

Acoustic wave therapy is a new cellulite treatment that uses pressure waves to reduce cellulite. This treatment is very gentle and does not need to be performed by a doctor. You can have acoustic wave therapy in a spa or cosmetic center. The process involves a small device being rolled over your cellulite affected area. This device has pressure waves which penetrate through the skin and underlying fat to smooth out dimples and firm skin. Acoustic Wave Therapy claims to be the only cellulite treatment targeting the two main reasons women get cellulite.

This involves the way that women organize their fat differently from men. Unlike men who organize their fat in tissue that runs parallel to their skin women organize their fat in tissue that runs perpendicular to their skin. The difference is a matter of smooth build up of fat seen in men to lumpy buildup of fat seen in women.

The second cause for cellulite is a wearing down of connective tissue. As you age your skin's elasticity diminishes. When this occurs in women, their skin no longer can store excess amounts of fat and so the skin bulges out creating cellulite.

AWT claims to fix both these problems in women by using pressure waves to increase skin's elasticity and correcting fat accumulation in connective tissue. The risks of AWT are minimal and involve slight bruising which typically goes away within a few days. Learn more about acoustic wave therapy.

2. Endermologie

Endermologie is another painless treatment for cellulite. It has been extensively studied and approved by the FDA to specifically make the claim that it does reduce cellulite. Like acoustic wave therapy this treatment can also be performed at spas. Having an endermologie cellulite treatment is like having a massage on your problem areas. The device used for endermologie is a massage machine with two rollers.

When these rollers massage your skin they create the top layer of fat to fold. This folding action stretches the connective tissue that traps cellulite underneath the skin. As the skin stretches the appearance of cellulite is reduced along with inches of your cellulite and body measurements. The benefits of endermologie are increased circulation, relief of muscular pain, reduction of muscle spasms and cellulite.

3. Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is probably the most advanced cellulite treatment of the two and needs to be performed by a trained doctor. Unlike the other two cellulite treatments mesotherapy is not relaxing and may be slightly painful or uncomfortable. Mesotherapy involves needle injections to cellulite to dissolve fat away. Many people claim that the injections are painless and doctors often have no need for anesthesia

However, the results are phenomenal and many women are pleased with them. Mesotherapy is injected directly into cellulite with medications that work to dissolve fat so that it can be flushed out the body. Depending on a person's degree of cellulite, doctors create their own formulations in the injection and require at least six treatments for optimum results.

Keep in mind that none of the treatments permanently eliminate cellulite. However, mesotherapy does offer the longest results. They can last anywhere from 6 to 8 months. Doctors usually recommend that patients diet, exercise, and continue treatments to manage their cellulite.
